again on Lybia

I was reading an article on  Reuters.com where Qadaffi was claiming that his country loves him, and the youth are confused- they love him too, but lately they've accidentally been drinking "spiked coffee". I thought it was a very funny article. It reminded me of a book review that Rabbi Dr. Chaim Soloveitchik wrote on Peter Haas's book "responsa: the literary history of a rabbinic genre". Rabbi Dr Soloveitchik claims that Haas invented biblical crack wine. his critique is hysterical; he tears haas to shreds. i think its about time someone did the same to Qaddafi. good thing the president broke his silence! now maybe he'll speak up?!.....maybe

qaddafi

The New York Yimes reporting on the rebellion in Libya recorded Muammar Qaddafi as saying "Muammar Qadaffi  is history, resistance, liberty, glory, revolution" though the medias intention was not to laugh at this mad man - I think they have made it quite possible to show the instability and ego mania of the Libyan leader. although I am afraid of change and new regimes in countries like Egypt I do think it is important for evil and crazy leaders to be replaced. Qaddafi has ordered military bases blown up and is pro massacring all protesters. his son has promised rivers of blood. i think the media is doing a good job showing the people of Lybia and the world what a crazy mad Qaddafi is and how he must be stopped. maybe, hopefully Qaddafi is right- he is history.
